NAGA CHOCOLATE

DESCRIPTION The Naga (Morich) Chocolate, nicknamed the Black Fire, is the result of crosses between Naga Morich and Bhut Jolokia varieties. This chili pepper belongs to the Capsicum chinense species and is extremely hot, with an average of 1,300,000 SHU. The fruits have a thin, pointed skin, and when they reach maturity, they acquire a dark brown/maroon color. The high level of spiciness activates almost immediately, causing, like most super-hot peppers, a powerful rush of endorphins. In Sanskrit, Naga translates to "cobra snake," a more than appropriate name for this super-hot chili variety.

PAIRINGS
The Naga Morich Chocolate chili has a pungent and fruity aroma reminiscent of quince, with a sweet undertone between balsamic-resinous and vanilla. Due to these sensory characteristics, it pairs well with many recipes of a certain aromatic intensity. Tasted on its own, it has a strong and bitter note, but it pairs well with ragouts, braised dishes, roasts, and even desserts. Especially in chocolate, it unexpectedly enhances the sweetness to later reveal its fiery spiciness.

Among the various health-promoting microelements, Naga Chocolate also contains Vitamin A, which helps maintain perfect health of the eyes, hair, and skin, and especially contains Vitamin C, which not only stops the spread of free radicals but is also useful and necessary to strengthen the immune system's barriers, lowering the risk of cancer by inhibiting the synthesis of carcinogenic substances. Moreover, recent studies scientifically confirm that using chili in our diet at least four times a week halves the risk of heart attack.
