NAGA YELLOW

DESCRIPTION
The Naga (Morich) Yellow chili belongs to the Capsicum chinense species and originates from Northeast India and Bangladesh. It is a regional variety of the Bhut Jolokia chili, similar in terms of shape, appearance, flavor, and spiciness, but it is bright yellow in color and slightly smaller in size, with very thin outer walls. When cultivated under optimal conditions, this variety can reach up to 1,100,000 SHU. During growth, they require a lot of heat, and at the same time, the peppers have a very long maturation period, which means it can take about six months from planting to fruit harvesting.

PAIRINGS
The aroma of Naga Yellow is very intense and has a characteristic floral and fruity note of exotic fruits. The “explosive” spiciness is highly appreciated by chili lovers. A spicy mayonnaise with Naga Yellow is ideal for accompanying red meats. It is excellent for flavoring butter that dresses Parmesan cheese ravioli, tantalizing in saffron risotto, and capable of giving a unique kick to spaghetti carbonara or ragout. Note that when paired with wines with high tannin content, it can impart bitter notes.
