GRATINATED TOMATOES WITH PICCA PIZZA

Ingredients:
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 6 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Half a garlic clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Parsley to taste

To prepare the gratinated tomatoes, start by cleaning the tomatoes, removing the stem area. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water and slice them into about 1-centimeter thick pieces. Preheat the static oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place some breadcrumbs on a plate and finely chop half a garlic clove, adding it to the breadcrumbs. Also, chop some parsley and a few basil leaves, then add a pinch of salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil to the mixture, stirring well to achieve a sandy and homogeneous consistency. Dip one side of the tomato slices into the seasoned breadcrumbs and place them on the tray, with the gratinated side facing up. Lightly sprinkle with Picca Pizza Spices and drizzle with a bit of extra virgin olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
