Description

FOOD PAIRINGS

The scent of the Erotico, variety of the species Capsicum baccatum, it’s characterized by the intense fruity/vegetal with floral touches that remind of orange blossoms or bitter orange peels.

It enhances perfectly the flavour of goat and sheep cheese and it pairs well with molluscs and crustacean based dishes or carpaccio. It can also go with white meats, boiled beef, fish and vegetable stews, quiches, and strawberry sorbet.

 

 

DESCRIPTION

 

This chilli pepper has earned itself the name Erotico (Erotic) thanks to its oblong shape, as the part opposite the petiole resembles a phallus. When ripe, the colouration of the chilli is gold with some shades tending to orange.

The spiciness level doesn’t go above 3000 SHU.

 

 

Particular low temperature techniques of humidity extraction have been employed for the production of this powder, making it possible to keep unaltered the original scent of the chilli pepper.

 

Among many of the healthy micro elements of the Scotch Bonnet we can find: Vitamin A, which improves the condition of eyes, hair and skin; and Vitamin C, which not only stops the spread of free radicals, but is also useful and crucial in raising the barriers of our immune systems, thus lowering the risks of tumours by inhibiting the synthesis of carcinogenic substances. In addition, it’s scientifically proven that consuming chilli peppers at least 4 times a week halves the risk of cardiac arrest.

Excellent with fish boiled or steamed vegetables. It enhances, without covering, the delicacy of a carpaccio of meat or fish. Try it with pie or fried artichokes, suckling pig and strawberry sorbet.
